I purchased a Radio Shack refurbished Pro 164 hand held triple trunk scanner and I was a little concerned about buying a refurbished item. But, since it still carried a full warranty I decided to give it a try. When I got it, I took it to a local Radio Shack and they programmed it for me and I have been totally happy with this scanner ever since.

I use this almost strictly for "railfanning" and the rechargable batteries I had in it lasted almost 6-7 hours! Though I did have it off and on so it might be a little more or less. Overall, great product, would defanatly recommend this! (Already have!)

Stay away from it I should have known better. Refurbished with a 90 day warranty mine lasted 160 days. To give you an idea of the quality these are made by GRE out of China as well. Why is it anymore whenever I buy something made in china it always breaks. I give it 2 stars becuase when it did work it did a great job. To bad Radio Shack doesn't
